Leads Group 7 Meeting Recap: FiG Advertising & PHP Capital – April 6, 2016
Welcome to April and the second quarter of 2016! We started off the meeting congratulating our Citizen of the Month, Katherine Frost of A Frosted Affair, for passing the most leads in March. Members of Leads Group 7 can become Citizen of the Month by passing the most leads in the previous month. Congratulations, Katherine!
Our 30-second add-on question was: What did you do for Spring Break/What’s your favorite Spring Break memory? Several members remarked how they did not have a Spring Break (no children or they worked through the “break”) and many members enjoyed skiing with friends and family. Other members spent time gardening or traveling to sunnier places in the U.S.
Our first presenter this week was Marilyn Heywood Paige of FiG Advertising. Several members noted how Marilyn, usually impeccably dressed, was dressed rather casually during her presentation. She also began the presentation mumbling and seeming ill-prepared to speak about her presentation.
But all of this was part of Marilyn’s presentation: she presented on how there was a brand disconnect on her behalf with how she dressed and how she presented the information on the screen. Business brands must be consistent with how their image is portrayed across the board: offline, online, their employees’ interactions with clients or customers, and even the attire employees and business owners wear. How do you want your business to be portrayed to others?
Marilyn also talked about how a business website must do the work FOR a business owner, speaking about mailing list opt-ins and how to incorporate a marketing automation sequence.
Our second presenter this week was Norris Davis of PHP Capital. PHP Capital’s motto is, “Working to earn your trust and secure your future.” Norris has been an investment advisor since 2002, helping his clients put their money in the right places through annuities, IRAs, and mutual funds. Norris showed us the financial forecast from the past ten years and talked about what we may expect in upcoming years.

Norris Davis of PHP Capital discussing what we can expect in the financial forecast for the next several years.
Macen Mathews of Conscious Transformation gave a stellar testimonial for Norris and PHP Capital: “Norris is very helpful to talk to [about my finances].” Carrie Bohlmann of Body Heal Thyself Massage also spoke highly of Norris, saying “[Norris] explains all financial information VERY thoroughly and makes it so simple.”
Thanks for the great presentations this week, Marilyn and Norris!
